Feel like joining the dark side and becoming Lord Vader's wingman as you build and fly the Star Wars™ TIE Fighter™ spaceship from the licensed Star Wars™ collection by Ugears. The Twin Ion Engine or TIE Fighter, with its ball cockpit and hexagonal wings, is the iconic starfighter of the Galactic Empire. Agile yet vulnerable, the TIE Fighter is a feared and formidable foe, whether in dogfights or providing close air support against ground-based rebel forces.
This battery-powered DIY model, made of colored plywood, set includes the starfighter and a stand designed to resemble the surface of the Death Star. The ship attaches to the stand magnetically, making it easy to connect and detach. A small, battery-powered motor is concealed inside the stand to provide realistic flight maneuvering for your Fighter. Two laser cannon towers also move side-to-side to lay down a blanket of fire against incoming X-wings. The top hatch of the TIE Fighter's™ cockpit opens to reveal interior details. Wings include cardboard elements. Model is powered either by three AA batteries (not included) or via USB Type-C (Power banks and Type-C cable not included).
The TIE Fighter™ model stand is compatible with the stand for Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing Fighter™ from the official Star Wars™ collection by Ugears. Together, they create a larger Death Star surface area, putting you right into the action of the climactic Trench Run scene from the original Star Wars™ film.
