Very challenging model kit to the legendary Mercedes-Benz 300 SL (3.0 liter displacement, "super light"). The shapely vehicle with its long hood and typical gullwing doors also delighted the American public, so that a good 75 percent of the 1,400 models produced were shipped overseas. The fastest sports car of its time reached almost 260 km/h.
