KYOSHO AMERICA 20th Anniversary Limited Model ULTIMA '87 WC Worlds Spec 30645
At the 1987 EP (Electric) Off-Road World Championships in the UK, the Kyosho Ultima achieved total domination with a clean sweep of the podium. This limited-edition model based on the Kyosho Works team car designed and driven by Akira Kogawa, has been released to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Kyosho America. Featuring the works model specifications with gunmetal anodized aluminum and carbon fiber parts, this model combines a wide range of optional upgrades including new components to elevate its dynamic driving performance. With the same sharp low-profile body designed for the Optima Pro combining with the latest R/C engineering technology, the new Ultima ‘87 World Championship Spec lets you relive the cutting edge driving performance of that era, 37 years after its spectacular World Championship performance.
Rear motor mounted 2WD buggy produces excellent driving stability with its high-strength aluminum monocoque chassis anodized in limited edition gunmetal color in combination with a newly designed hybrid carbon upper plate.
Recognised for its stylish form and superior aerodynamics, the included Optima Pro body features a special Kyosho America 20th anniversary decal set with cut lines matched to the Ultima.
Large capacity oil shocks feature titanium coated shafts for smooth function and durability plus dial adjustable ride height. Shock caps and cases are finished in the Kyosho Works signature gunmetal color.
Carbon fiber shock stays are included as standard and absorb the feedback from the road surface to ensure maximum suspension effectiveness. These were an optional upgrade on the original.
Newly designed hybrid carbon fiber upper plate is not only lightweight but also highly rigid. Unlike the early Ultima, it can accommodate short LiPo batteries in addition to standard type.
Engraved with a logo commemorating Kyosho America’s 20th anniversary, the aluminum motor guard is also finished in gunmetal and protects the motor from crash damage.
Gear shaft and slipper plate are made from aircraft-grade 7075 Duralumin. Not only effective in reducing weight of the drive system and overall chassis, they also combine with the HD final pinion gear to deliver superior acceleration and deceleration.
Ball differential unit delivers smooth cornering and sharp acceleration even on low grip off-road surfaces. This latest Ultima incorporates components that were previously optional upgrades.
Universal swing shafts ensure motor power is efficiently transferred to the rear wheels, not only improving drive efficiency but also minimizing the risks of parts falling off after jump landings. +2 Offset wheels hexes add width and stability to the rear end.
