[A custom buggy packed with meticulous details and vibrant colors] This is a customized model of the Hot Shot II, which first appeared in 1987 as an improved version of the "Hot Shot," Tamiya's first shaft-drive 4WD racing buggy that attracted much admiration, customized by graphic designer JUN WATANABE. The coloring has been completely revamped from the original version, which featured black as the main color with yellow and orange stripes. The new design features brilliant blue with white stripes. In addition, the polycarbonate body and rear wing are painted in brilliant blue and have been pre-cut. Furthermore, the original shape, in which the driver figure's seating position was too low, has been corrected, and the upper deck and roll cage have been changed to new parts to position the driver in a way that seems more realistic for a real car. In addition, the body guards, rear guards, and side plates are designed by JUN. Attention to detail is also incorporated into the motor's dedicated stickers, the installation of the light pods, and the mounting angle of the side number plates.
[A tough chassis configuration that sets the direction for high-speed 4WD buggies] The chassis is a shaft-drive 4WD inherited from the original Hot Shot II. Differential gears are equipped in sealed gearboxes at the front and rear, providing smooth handling. The double wishbone 4-wheel independent suspension configuration with one CVA damper at the front and two at the rear remains the same, but the damper color has been changed from the original red to yellow. Plated parts are used on the front and rear wheels and uprights to create a metallic feel. The 540 motor has a specially designed sticker to enhance the custom mood. The tires are a low-profile type made of hollow rubber with excellent grip, mixing oval blocks and pin spikes. This machine will make dynamic off-road driving even more exciting with its vibrant colors.
