Blast through wet conditions without worry — the Spektrum 2-in-1 40A ESC/receiver unit and high-torque Spektrum S660 steering servo are both waterproof (see the VORTEKS instruction manual for details).

Factory assembled and installed, the heavy-duty, metal gear differential sends power from the MEGA 550 14T brushed motor to the rear all-terrain tires for blasting through challenging terrain. Upgrade to brushless power whenever you're ready — the VORTEKS transmission is tough enough to take it.
Time to change batteries? No need to remove the body or fuss with clips. Just push on the latches, open the door, and plug in a fresh pack. You're quickly back to having fun!
The durability of its composite chassis lets you send your VORTEKS over punishing terrain with confidence. The simple spine design won't collect dirt, rocks, and mud. It stays clean and lightweight, which means more power!
The independent suspension and oil-filled, coilover shocks soak up bumps. If your bashing takes you over uneven surfaces, you can adjust the ride height to increase ground clearance.
The Spektrum S660 digital steering servo provides high torque (84 oz-inch @ 6V) for precise steering. As you learn more and gain experience, you can push the limits of your VORTEKS by using brushless power and LiPo batteries — the Spektrum 2-in-1 40A ESC and receiver are naturally LiPo-ready because its power is regulated by the ESC.
Adding to its exciting realism, the VORTEKS stadium truck body is securely held in place by a hidden body retention system. The body doesn't need to come off to change the battery, but is easy to remove if you need to access the on-board electronics.

Get bashing quickly with short 2-3 hour charge times — keep bashing longer with extended run times. The included, high-capacity Spektrum Smart 7-cell 3300mAh NiMH battery begins safe charging automatically when connected to the Spektrum S120 USB-C Smart Charger. When it's time to upgrade for more bashing power, the charger and Spektrum 2-in-1 40A ESC/receiver unit are already compatible with 2S Smart LiPo batteries.
