The Extreme Heavy Duty Upgrade Kit comes pre-installed on Raptor R to withstand the brutal punishment of high-power brushless systems. Made from our toughest cold-weather material, Raptor R’s driveshafts and suspension components are beefed up with extra material and overbuilt construction to form a nearly indestructible driveline.
High-flying stunts and 60+mph desert speed runs won’t upset Raptor R’s tough clipless body. Locking tabs hold the body tightly, but release in just seconds to access the chassis. Raptor R’s hidden latching system maximizes convenience and scale realism by removing traditional body clips which would interrupt the body’s clean lines.
Raptor R sets the standard for scale detail with injection-molded parts for enhanced realism. Unique front and rear bumpers integrate neatly with the body for a clean look and strong impact resistance. The deep-inset front grille features bold Ford lettering and replica marker lights. Raptor R’s innovative clipless body features secure mounting with quick and easy removal. No posts, no clips—just drop the body onto the chassis and snap it into place for a secure hold. Oversize BFGoodrich® All-Terrain T/A® KO2 are 5mm taller than standard Slash tires to replicate look and stance of the full-size Raptor R’s meaty 37″ treads. The replica Ford option wheels with beadlock trim feature the same 2.2″ outer and 3″ inner diameter as conventional short course truck wheels.
Raptor R’s clipless body latches are neatly integrated into molded body reinforcements that look great and protect the body. Unlike traditional posts and clips, Raptor R’s body reinforcements spread impact forces over a wide area to minimize the risk of pull-through damage.

Progressive rate springs are lighter through the initial range of travel to maintain traction and composure over small ruts and bumps. Hit the big jumps and the springs tighten up to prevent bottoming the chassis at the upper limits of the suspension travel.
Precision rubber-sealed bearings offer the ultimate in super low-friction performance and maximum protection in dusty environments. They are used in all exposed locations on the truck and are virtually maintenance free.
Raptor R’s patented slipper clutch design uses semi-metallic friction pads and a finned aluminum pressure plate to dissipate heat and provide consistent traction control. The slipper is easily adjusted without disassembly or removal, and the unique 3-pad design is proven tough in Traxxas’ most powerful vehicles.
Designed from the start to handle big brushless horsepower, Raptor R’s 4X4 driveline uses a rugged spur gear with large 0.8 module/32-pitch teeth for reliability no matter how much power you pour on.
A one-piece extruded aluminum driveshaft is both strong and lightweight. Internal splines fit directly onto the input shafts of the front and rear drive assemblies. Altogether, this shaft runs straight and true for ultra-smooth driveline operation.
Raptor R’s huge-diameter driveshafts and upgraded U-joints are built to handle extreme Velineon® brushless power with ease. Large 6mm axles key into the included steel wheel hexes for unmatched strength and durability.
Proven front and rear oil-filled differentials utilize steel-gear internals for maximum durability. Silicone gaskets and X-ring seals allow you to tune the amount of locking action by varying the viscosity of the fluid inside the differentials.
