A full-length formed-edge aluminum chassis with four stiffening ribs is just the beginning. Huge front and rear support trusses attach at six points across the chassis and then integrate seamlessly into the patent-pending aluminum T-Bar™. Sledge channels explosive 6s brushless power through a properly sized all-steel driveline that is engineered for maximum strength and long life. Massive steel gears and proven 4-gear differentials transfer the power to high-strength steel driveshafts. Smooth-running CV joints are used in front. The center shafts feature greased and boot-protected outboard joints for cool-running, long-lasting performance.
Steel differential gears are built to handle the Velineon’s aggressive power curve. Sledge’s ring gears pack on 20% more steel than traditional 1/8 scale trucks so you can hammer the throttle and not hold back.

The VXL-6s speed control is loaded with a hot new tune to extract maximum torque from the all-new Velineon 2000 kV motor. Greater efficiency delivers more power under the curve for additional mid-range punch and acceleration you can see and feel. Cooling fins are machined into the motor housing for cooler running and peak power.
A cast aluminum motor cradle with fixed gear mesh provides full-contact support for the entire motor. The cradle dissipates heat through the chassis, and features an integrated fan mount that allows for installation of an optional cooling fan (3476). Zero motor movement. Zero spur and pinon crash. Period.
Sledge's heavy-duty C-hub front suspension design allowed Traxxas engineers to make the parts bigger and tougher for ultimate durability and impact-resistance. Precise steering alignment and geometry are maintained while the steel pin bushing inserts minimize wear. Beefy hardened-steel suspension pins are secured with locknuts for extra security.

Sledge’s shock towers are cut from 5 mm thick 6061-T6 aluminum and tie directly into the center brace for bulletproof strength and durability.

Traditional center diffs can’t handle 6s power. Sledge’s Torque-Biasing Center Drive is filled with thick silicone fluid to distribute power evenly for full 6s thrust with every launch and corner exit.
Solid-steel driveshafts transfer Sledge’s massive 6s power from the differentials to the wheels via heavy-duty dogbones and constant-velocity joints in front so you can be as heavy on the throttle as you want.
Sledge uses true 6s differentials to handle its ferocious power. Oversized coarse-pitch steel gears are 20% larger and 75% thicker than traditional 1/8 scale components for lasting performance.
