Traxxas Stability Management TSM® allows you to experience all the extreme power, speed, and acceleration that was engineered into your Nitro Slash making it much easier to control on common slippery surfaces such as loose dirt, smooth concrete, and even ice and snow. Punch it off the line and TSM goes to work sensing the vehicle’s direction and making steering corrections to provide straight-ahead full-throttle acceleration without fishtailing, spinouts, and loss of control. TSM also works during cornering, first making intuitive corrections to maintain your line, and then allowing you to hammer the throttle earlier in the turn for much faster exit speeds. Braking is dramatically improved as TSM works to keep you arrow straight until you come to a complete stop.

With EZ-Start, there’s no need for starter cords, glow starters or their hassles. Instead, all you have to do is insert the EZ-Start into the starter port and push the start button. It only takes one hand! The Traxxas EZ-Start lights the glow plug and starts the engine in seconds, and exclusive Smart Start™ technology monitors critical starting functions, automatically sensing and diagnosing potential problems for troublefree engine starting every time. LEDs provide realtime status, even alerting you when a glow plug has failed.

It's so advanced; it doesn't even need an external antenna. However, the most important feature may already be in your pocket. The TQi can be equipped with an optional Traxxas Link Wireless Module (6511) that turns your Android, iPad®, iPad mini®, iPhone® or iPod touch® into a powerful tuning tool for your Traxxas model. The full-color display combines with the Traxxas Link™ App to deliver an intuitive, high-definition, full-color graphical user interface that unlocks the mysteries of optimizing your radio system for ultimate vehicle control.

Traxxas engineers developed superior tuning algorithms that run on high-speed, precision electronic components to create a system that works invisibly, in the background, without ever limiting throttle. TSM can be fine tuned (or turned off) for different surfaces by simply adjusting the multi-function knob on the TQi transmitter, or by adjusting the slider in the Traxxas Link app. The result is driving faster, with more ease, and having more fun. In fact, the driver may not even realize how much TSM is helping until it is turned off and their driving skills are tested without it!
Nitro Slash includes a 2-amp peak detecting charger for quick, convenient, hassle-free charging of the EZ-Start battery. The charger uses a 12-Volt DC power outlet for charging for charging in the field. The brilliant LED provides charging status while the battery charges. The peak-detecting charger is optimized for charging Traxxas Power Cell NiMH battery packs. Just plug the included Power Cell battery in for a perfect charge, run after run.
Nitro Slash's advanced oil-filled Ultra Shocks utilize X-ring technology for a perfect seal and super-smooth performance. They are fully tunable with a wide range of oils, springs, and pistons. Features include pressure bladders for air/oil separation and spring clips to precisely change the ride height and spring pre-load. They can be renewed in minutes with our inexpensive shock rebuild kits.
The Nitro Slash’s high-output TRX 3.3 engine breathes clean air through a large air filter. The dual-stage design traps large particles in the outer element, while the inner element flows clean air to the engine. The larger diameter foam elements allow greater airflow, and more air means more horsepower.
More fuel means more drive time between refills, and with 150cc on board, Nitro Slash stretches every run. A pull handle makes it easy to yank the tank open for fast filling, and the tank is specially designed to maintain consistent fuel flow no matter how rough the driving conditions. The tank’s lowered sump keeps the fuel pickup submerged, and baffles prevent fuel from sloshing out of the sump.
The compact battery box accepts 4 AA alkaline batteries or a 5-cell rechargeable receiver pack (#3037 sold separately) and it integrates the on/off switch for convenient access. The receiver is housed in an enclosed box to protect it from dirt, debris, and fuel splashes.
A high-speed short course truck needs powerful servos for responsive performance. The included Traxxas high-torque steering servo comes standard for enhanced steering authority and reliability.
The Nitro Magnum 281™ single speed transmission is built Nitro Tough™ with 32 pitch gears, metal top gear and idler gear, and smooth-running, long-lasting precision ball bearings. This proven, track-tested, three-gear design is built for performance driving applications.
The slipper clutch on the Nitro Slash is fully adjustable to control the power output to the rear wheels for increased traction control on a wide variety of surfaces. It also protects the transmission during high-impact jump landings.
The Traxxas planetary gear differential features a nylon housing for long life. It uses hardened steel internal gears for maximum strength during rigorous off-road bashing. This type of differential requires virtually no maintenance and its efficient design puts maximum tire-shredding torque to the wheels.
Nitro Slash's telescoping, universal-joint driveshafts may look familiar but they have evolved for increased strength and articulation. Traxxas U-joint driveshafts allow for maximum suspension movement resulting in longer travel and tighter turning. Extra material and design tweaks greatly increase torque handling.
Call it a factory 'works' pipe. The pipe length and shape are dyno-tuned for the TRX 3.3 to bring out the most power over the broadest RPM range. All that means is you can nail the throttle hard at any speed and get some serious roost.
Nitro Slash rolls out of the box ready for action with a factory-finished and mounted Race Replica body and decals already applied for you, so its Ready-to-Race®.
More than mere styling pieces, Nitro Slash’s tube-style front and rear bumpers provide crash protection while adding to the truck’s realistic looks. The bumpers are designed to flex and spring back from impacts to protect the chassis and body.
Factory fitted, heavy-duty steel turnbuckles allow camber and toe tuning. The Nitro Slash is completely adjustable right out of the box to fine tune handling agility and high-speed performance. Captured rod ends provide unmatched durability and they simply won't pop off.
Nitro Slash is built for extreme offroad use, so only the best rubber-sealed bearings will do. Traxxas’ precision ball-bearings resist dirt and dust to deliver lasting low-friction performance, run after run.
Traxxas Top Fuel® Power Plus™ and 8 AA batteries are all you need to go from the box to the backyard with the Nitro Slash. The Nitro Slash is fully assembled, with pre-glued tires, a mounted and trimmed ProGraphix® body and dialed-in electronics. But we didn't stop there, a high-quality 6-cell EZ-Start battery is included with a 2-amp DC peak detecting fast charger. A 500cc fuel bottle is also included for fast fillups, and there's even a spare glow plug and air filter oil to keep you running strong. A precision metric specialty tool set is also included for easy servicing. Almost everything you need to experience nitro fun the Traxxas way is already in the box.
