Put together the circuits of this STEM Robotics Kit - Hertz, a strange little robot that you can build yourself. It lights up and emits sounds or vibrations, making you think it can actually sing.
Motherboard, screwdriver, coin-cell battery, acrylic housings, LEDs, plastic screws, plastic spacers and instructions.
This model is part of the Wacky Robots range, a group of cute robots that will help you master the basics of electronics and robotics.
The vibrations of an object are the basis of sound, they create pressure waves and propagate them in the air pressure. However, sound can also travel through other media or objects, such as water, metal or even bone, at a significantly higher speed than in air. This is why submarines use sonar to detect underwater objects, and doctors use ultrasound to visualize the internal structures of the human body.
Follow the illustrated instructions in the set to assemble Hertz in no time and then connect it to the BIT console to unlock a new game. The Bit DIY console is not included in the set, but can be purchased separately.
To create some interesting sounds, press buttons 2 and 3 simultaneously. You'll be amazed at what Hertz can do! If you had a blast assembling this STEM Robotics Kit - Hertz, you may have picked up some new musical skills along the way.
