The Nissan® Pathfinder® debuted in 1987 and defined a new era of 2-door sport utility vehicles with its rugged body-on-frame construction, powerful V6 engine, and bold offroad styling. Traxxas honors Pathfinder with a beautifully detailed reproduction mounted on the proven TRX-4® chassis. From the iconic grille and squared-off lines to period-correct badging, TRX-4 Pathfinder captures the spirit of the original Pathfinder with Traxxas performance and durability.

TRX-4 Pathfinder sets the standard for scale detail in RC crawlers. Classic 80’s style comes back to life with authentic molded details, period-correct badging, and stunning high gloss paint.
TRX-4 Pathfinder's clipless body mounting system combines clean flowing lines with secure latching convenience. The hidden latches hold tight on the trail no matter how intense the action gets, but release in just seconds to access the chassis.
The powerful 3s LiPo-capable XL-5™ HV ESC and 21-turn Titan® motor provide endless torque to tackle the steepest climbs and all-out speed on flat terrain. This efficient system provides up to 2 hours of run time with a Traxxas 3s 5000 mAh LiPo battery pack!
Portal axles lift the truck at the wheels for huge center pumpkin ground clearance. To achieve the same clearance with straight axles, the tires would have to be over an inch taller than the tires on TRX-4 Pathfinder.
Traxxas allows you to lock and unlock both the front and rear differentials remotely from your transmitter. New sleeved micro cables control the differential action for scale appearance, without limiting suspension articulation.
When the going gets tough, engage low range on the TQi transmitter for incredible 4WD pulling torque. Shift into high range for blasting down the trail. TRX-4 Pathfinder adapts to any situation or driving style.
TQi™ Radio System with Cruise Control
The TQi radio features cruise control for long-distance treks. Set your speed using the transmitter and then use the multi-function knob to fine-tune it. A grip-mounted rocker switch selects high or low range gears to suit the terrain while a separate toggle switch engages or disengages the locking differentials, all on the fly.
TRX-4 Pathfinder gets a replica black front grille with integrated lenses and a push bar for a rugged scale appearance. Detailed headlights and taillights accept the optional Pro Scale Light Kit (sold separately) for even more scale realism.
With a 57.93° out-of-box approach angle in the front, TRX-4 is ready to climb walls. An equally impressive 46.50° departure angle provides extreme capability, even in the deepest ruts.
TRX-4 Pathfinder’s 1.9″ wheels come pre-glued and mounted to aggressive, S1-compound Canyon Trail tires. Deep tread blocks flex for maximum traction on the rocks. The trail-tuned foam inserts provide realistic sidewall flex for authentic climbing action.
TRX-4 Pathfinder features precision-molded details for a whole new level of scale realism. A spare tire carrier, side mirrors, fender flares, and even windshield wipers give TRX-4 Pathfinder perfect scale authenticity.
Portal axles help raise the center ground clearance to an unparalleled 3.14″ (80 mm), while raised suspension links and driveshafts clear rocks underneath the chassis to avoid high centering. Superior capability equals more fun no matter where your adventure takes you.
Tough inner fenders mount directly to the frame and shock towers to provide substantial look and feel to TRX-4. The authentic realism adds to the fun while also helping to keep rocks, mud, and twigs out of the chassis.
TRX-4’s main battery tray accommodates full-size LiPo batteries for extended run times or smaller 1/16 scale batteries for reduced weight. A hinged battery strap provides quick and secure battery mounting without pins to lose. A secondary front-mounted battery tray accepts smaller 1/16 scale batteries to position weight directly over the front axle for maximum climbing traction.
TRX-4 uses three waterproof micro servos to actuate the front and rear differentials as well as the high/low range selection on the transmission. Sleeved micro cables eliminate complicated linkages that would otherwise limit suspension articulation.
TRX-4 is fully waterproof, not “splash resistant.” There is a big difference. Traxxas’ patented innovation gives you the freedom to tackle creeks, snow, and mud without worrying about water in your electronics.
In addition to its three standard profiles (Sport, Race, Training Mode™), the XL-5 HV features a Trail profile that serves up a little bit of drag brake for smooth intuitive driving for most of your adventures. Crawl profile introduces hill hold and instant reverse for extremely technical courses.
Torque rules the trail and TRX-4’s massive Titan 21T motor pumps out huge torque to get you up and over anything that gets in the way. An integrated cooling fan keeps temperatures down for extended run times.
With the front differential unlocked, the superior 45° steering angle negotiates around even the tightest bends with ease. This helps avoid awkward reversing maneuvers in tight spaces.
Oil-filled coil-over GTS shocks deliver silky-smooth damping performance and feature threaded aluminum shock bodies for easy ride height adjustments. The shocks look great with and perform even better with an O-ring cap seal and dual X-ring shaft seals.
Thick 5 mm diameter steel links feature tough heavy-duty rod ends with steel hollow balls for exceptional strength and durability. This is one rig that won’t strand you on the trail with a broken suspension link.
A thick 1.5 mm steel ladder frame with molded cross members provides exceptional torsional rigidity to resist even the worst chassis twisting articulation. This extremely rigid backbone lets the suspension do the work it was designed to do.
Functional rock sliders help prevent damage and provide extra support for the body. The additional bracing adjusts for different widths.
A twin friction plate slipper clutch provides some additional protection from motor stalls in extreme crawling conditions.
Hardened steel U-joints on the front and rear driveshafts provide smooth, reliable power delivery for non-stop fun.
The steering link and drag link attach high on the portal axles, raising them away from possible damage. This allows TRX-4 to attack obstacles head on, reducing the risk of hitting the steering linkage on rocks.
